Rita Cannatella (1973) vive a Catania e si dedica all’illustrazione vettoriale pur provenendo da studi differenti, è infatti laureata in filosofia. Il suo sito internet è intitolato “La grande doppia vu”, in omaggio alla commedia di Stanley Kramer “Questo pazzo pazzo pazzo pazzo mondo” nella quale i protagonisti sono impegnati in una caccia al tesoro senza esclusione di colpi lungo il deserto californiano. Giunti al luogo dove il tesoro è sepolto, nessuno dei partecipanti riesce a scorgerne subito la presenza, proprio perché troppo evidente. È questo lo spirito delle opere di Rita, il cui significato si manifesta all’occhio di chi guarda senza sforzo e senza accanimento.

Rita Cannatella (1973), Gioacchino’s oldest daughter and Francesca’s sister, lives in Catania and, although she graduated in Philosophy, she is now working as a digital artist. Her blog is named “La grande doppia vu” after the Stanley Kramer’s comedy “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!”. In this movie the characters looked for a treasure of stolen money in the Californian desert; but when all of them finally arrived to its hidden place, they are not able to find what they are looking for because it was too easily concealed. This is the spirit behind Rita’s work: the meaning behind her creations can be understood and seen without any effort by the watcher.
